If you ask Wikipedia you will find out that Coorie is a “Scottish Lifestyle which involves concepts such as cosiness and snuggling, similar to the Scandinavian Hygge.” To me it means a place where you want to relax and cuddle up after a day out in the Scottish weather.

When we decided to launch our company we really thought about our goals. We don’t want to quickly and cheaply flip flats for a profit. We want to transform old unloved properties into warm, cosy spaces that people are going to make their homes. It was also important to us that the name was Scottish as we are both very proud of our heritage. After brainstorming a few ideas my mum suggested coorie. After a short debate on how it was spelt and some googling we decided it was perfect for us and Coorie Renovations was born.
